KiniMouse is a utility that lets you move the computer’s mouse pointer through simple hand movements, allowing you to drive any program or application.
It automatically handles left- and right-handed users, and delimits the area in which the user is detected.
An additional control system, on top of the Kinect’s native capabilities, lets the module be placed at any height and handle spaces with many people present (typically museums, events and exhibitions).
Fully calibratable and adjustable through a practical control interface, it works with both Kinect models: 360 and ONE.
KiniMouse is used in the interactive multimedia project designed by architect Olindo Merone for the IAT tourist office in Iglesias, and has been active since July 2017.
