The Visual Stage course is aimed at musicians, VJs, stage technicians and multimedia artists who want to explore what modern technology can offer the performing arts.
We used the multimedia software TouchDesigner (available for both Windows and macOS), which works through a very intuitive graphical interface, even without writing code.
It starts with an overview of the visual arts, interactive installations and video mapping in performance.
Then the basic principles of the software and the fundamental operations to use it were presented.
Finally, an example of animated graphics projection reacting to music and animated on the body movements of an actor.
