Video-Versus is a video and lighting performance staged live for the presentation of the CD Dub Versus by Giacomo Casti and Francesco “Arrogalla” Medda.
Video-Versus accompanies each of the 10 tracks with different graphic treatments, videos and lighting plays, created in close contact with the authors to develop their artistic meaning and message.
The system uses two projectors working on a large central horizontal screen in 16:9 format, and two vertical side screens in 7:10 format.
It is supported by a lighting rig of 10 coloured spotlights driven in sync with the videos.
The graphics consist of synthetic images and treatments of photos and videos, generated on the spot and animated live in movement, colours and perspective, following the rhythm of the music, its crescendos and diminuendos and the general sense of the performance.
